Oxford Police Department Announces UT Martin Game Day Plans
To ensure that everyone has a fun and safe time celebrating we will have an increased presence in and around the downtown Square Area. Our goal is to be proactive in preventing any disturbances or unsafe activities, and as always do not hesitate to contact us should the need arise.
The Double Decker buses will run from the Square to campus and back, before the game and two hours after the game ends. Fans may park at FNC Park on Old Sardis Road or Oxford High School for shuttle parking and will be transported to campus. Shuttles will start at 6:00 am from both FNC Park and Oxford High School. Parking at Oxford High School filled up fast previous game day, however, FNC Park continued to have plenty of available parking throughout the day. Be aware of posted no parking zones, and if you are unsure call the department to verify. Vehicles will be towed from designated no parking areas at the owner’s expense.
Backpacks and track bags are not allowed on shuttles or in the stadium. Ole Miss has implemented the clear bag policy this year. Oxford Police want to remind everyone to put valuables in the trunk and lock your cars.
After the Game: be cautious of police officers directing traffic in the road at the intersection of Jackson Ave. and Highway 278. Traffic on Hathorn Rd. will not be able to exit at Chucky Mullins; you must go to West Jackson Ave. Those traveling on Old Taylor Rd. will have to take Belk Blvd. to South Lamar.
Please be patient as we trust the police officers to direct traffic for optimum traffic flow. Fixed routes will continue until traffic is flowing freely.
