DUI's, Disturbing The Peace And More In This Weekend's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Three 911 hang up, abandon vehicle, 21 alarms, four ambulance assist, four animal complaint, 10 careless driving, two civil matter, 13 disturbing the peace, seven domestic disturbance, false pretense, eight improper parking, four lost property, malicious mischief, four petit larceny, property damage, two residential burglary—forced, scam, shoplifting, three simple assault, 15 suspicious activity, nine suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, three theft from motor vehicle, two welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated 32 accidents, 106 tickets and made the following arrest:

DUI 1st, Ran Red light, Possession of Paraphernalia

DUI 1st, Wrong Way on One Way
DUI 2nd, Failure to Comply(Traffic), Suspended Driver’s License
Fake ID, No Headlights
Fake ID, Speeding
2 Littering
3 MIP
No Driver’s License, No Seatbelt
3 Noise Violations
Possession of Paraphernalia
Possession of Schedule 2 Drug
Possession of Schedule 4 Drug
Public Drunk, Fake ID, MIP
Public Drunk, Fake ID, MIP, Giving False Information to Officer

Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Seven accidents, nine alarms, two animal complaints, auto burglary, 19 disturbances, two domestic violence, two petit larceny, five harassment, two juvenile complaints, 23 service calls, nine suspicious activities, vandalism, four welfare concern, trespassing, seven traffic complaints, five reckless driving, three civil matters, natural cause of death.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made two arrests
domestic violence, simple assault
Oxford Fire Department:
Burned food in McAllister’s at the Student Union.
A smoke detector malfunction at the Kappa Delta house.
Second floor stairway #3 fire alarm pull station malfunction at Stewart Hall.
Smoke detector malfunction in room 216 of Sigma Pi house.
Fire pump running activated the water flow alarm in the South End Zone.
Multiple fire alarm pull station alarms were activated —no cause found at the university parking garage.
Wreck with no entrapment on Hwy. 6 East @ CR 217
First floor smoke detector malfunction in the Student Union.
Twenty year old male having chest pains and trouble breathing—EMS on scene before FD arrived at 2211 Anderson Road.
Living room smoke detector malfunction at 1 Highland Place.
Dumpster fire—FD extinguished the fire at Bickerstaff Road.
University Police: Malicious Mischief, disturbance, vehicle stop, accident property, possession of drug paraphernalia, loud noise, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, disorderly conduct, intoxicated person, intoxicated driver, grand larceny, assist with traffic, ambulance needed, simple assault, public drunk, fight, petit larceny.
