Oxford & Surrounding Areas Under Tornado Watch Until 8 p.m.
Update: The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Eastern Lafayette County in northwestern Mississippi, Southeastern Marshall County in northwestern Mississippi. Until 5:45 PM CDT

Update: Tornado Warnings are in effect for Lee, Pontotoc, and Union County until 12:00 p.m.
As effects from Hurricane Harvey continue to grow, Oxford and its surrounding areas have been placed under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Thursday night. According to National Weather Service “a couple of tornadoes are possible” along with gusts of 65 mph winds and marble sized hail.
