False Pretense, Scam And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, three alarms, disturbing the peace, false pretense, harassing phone calls, improper parking, two malicious mischief, petit larceny, scam, two suspicious activity, two suspicious persons, suspicious vehicle, two trespassing, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 27 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Domestic violence—simple assault
Fake ID, Disorderly conduct
MIP
2 Public drunks
Public drunk, disorderly conduct, fake ID
Public drunk, fake ID
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Alarm, two animal complaints, petit larceny, harassment, two juvenile complaint, 15 service calls, four suspicious activities, four transports, two information, follow up, fraud, two reckless driving, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests

Oxford Fire Department:
Call cancelled for Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Alarm tech working on alarm system at The Jackson Avenue Center.
Call cancelled for Della Davidson School.
Wreck with no injuries, assisted EMS with patients at Old Taylor Road and Shiloh Drive.
Wreck with no injuries, stood by until EMS arrived at the entrance to Walmart.
Smoke detector beeping with a low battery at 404 Creekside Apts.
Manger needed FD to come reset the alarm system at Super 8.
Smell of smoke—found the a/c unit had frozen up at The Connection #1318.
Call cancelled for 1016 Hayes Ave.
University Police: Assist with traffic, ambulance needed, hit and run, fake ID, motor vehicle accident.
