Burglary, Simple Assault And More In Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two alarms, ambulance assist, burglary, code enforcement, two fire department assist, harassing phone calls, two lost property, malicious mischief, obstructing traffic, simple assault, five suspicious activity, three suspicious vehicles, theft, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 10 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 2nd
MIP, Public Drunk, Fake ID, Failure to comply with officer
2 Public Drunk
Suspended Driver’s License, speeding, no insurance
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, two alarms, animal complaint, commercial burglary, three disturbances, petit larceny, juvenile complaint, 19 service calls, six suspicious activities, welfare concern, scam, transport, information, follow up, traffic complaints, fraud, two civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made four arrests
Aggravated assault
Disturbance of public peace
Credit card fraud
Out of county warrant
Oxford Fire Department: 
Car fire—FD extinguished the fire at Hwy. 7 and Belk.
Testing the alarm system at the New Medical complex beside the new hospital.
Male struck on an elevator at the Chancery Building.
Smoke from cooking activated a smoke detector in the South end zone of Vaught Hemingway.
Wreck with injuries—assessed patients while waiting on EMS and West Jackson Ave & Sorority Row.
Water from A/C drain was leaking into a smoke detector at the Student health center.
Alarm malfunction at the No. 1 Residential Hall.

University Police: 12 vehicle stops, possession of drug paraphernalia, suspicious vehicle, moving violation, two assist with traffic, motor vehicle accident.
