Forgery, Noise Violation And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang ups, six alarms, careless driving, civil matter, two disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, embezzlement, fire department assist, forgery, harassing phone calls, two improper parking, noise violation, scam, two shoplifting, four suspicious, two suspicious person, theft, two trespassing, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 19 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Two simple assaults
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three animal complaints, five disturbances, three harassment, two service calls, two suspicious activity/persons, vandalism, scam, three transports, civil matter, three traffic complaints, reckless driving.

Family disturbance
Oxford Fire Department:
Asked to rest the alarm after a fire drill at the Oxford Learning Center.
Workers cleaning activated a smoke detector at 2215 Jefferson Davis drive.
Assist EMS with a possible stroke patient at the Internal Medicine.
Male having chest pains—assisted EMS at 171 Garden Terrace.
Wreck with injuries—assisted with traffic and scene safety at 2307 West Jackson Ave. area.
Three car wreck with injuries—OFD provided first aid to victim with neck pain at HWY 6 and Coliseum Drive.
University Police: Two assist with traffic, suspicious person, 18 vehicle stops, malicious mischief, suspicious vehicle.
