Code Enforcement, Noise Violation And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Six alarms, ambulance assist, four careless driving, civil matter, code enforcement, credit card fraud, disturbing the peace, improper parking, malicious mischief, two motorist assist, noise violation, petit larceny, simple assault, suspicious activity, two suspicious persons, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 32 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Suspended driver’s license, possession of schedule 2 drug
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, simple assault, three alarms, animal complaint, residential burglary, three disturbances, grand larceny, two harassment, three service calls, suspicious activity, two welfare concerns, scam, follow up, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made four arrests
Two out of county warrants
Harassing phone call warrant
Contempt warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
Fifth alarm for the air handling unit no. 7 duct detector at the Jackson Avenue Center.
Call cancelled for Baptist Memorial Hospital.
A/C unit motor burned up sending smoke into room 329 at The Inn at Ole Miss.
Call cancelled for Wilsonart 26 CR 122.
Water flow alarm—they are testing the system to see why they keep having an activation at Wilsonart.
Third floor hallway smoke detector malfunction at The Chancellor House Hotel.
University Police: Three vehicle stops.
