Joyriding, Simple Assault And More In Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Joyriding, simple assault, four alarms, three welfare concerns, two noise violations, domestic disturbance, two disturbing the peace, scam, animal complaint, utility call out, residential burglary, credit card fraud, code enforcement, recovered property, careless driving, two fire department assist, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 21 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 1st, Careless Driving, No Liability Insurance
Warrant Served for Failure to Appear
Public Drunk
Domestic Violence- Simple Assault
No Driver’s License, Speeding, No Liability Insurance, Warrant Served for Aggravated DUI
Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, three alarms, two animal complaints, auto burglary, two disturbances, petit larceny, harassment, two juvenile complaint, six service calls, four suspicious activities, vandalism, two welfare concerns, scam, information, two follow up, unauthorizes use of vehicle, traffic complaint, reckless driving, recovered stolen vehicle, ID theft.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department: 
Wreck with possible injuries, no ambulance available—provided 1st aid until ambulance arrived at 1803 area of West Jackson Ave.
Ambulance call—male subject passing out—provided 1st aid until ambulance arrived at The Thompson House.
Alarm tech working on the alarm system at Rooster’s.
A child pulled the fire alarm at Gastroenterology Associates.
Air handling unit no. 7 alarm at the Jackson Avenue Center.
Water leaking from the ceiling due to the second floor air handling unit leaking water at Molly Barr Ridge #101.
Smoke detector malfunction at the Kappa Delta House.

University Police: Suspicious vehicle, vehicle stop, harassing phone calls, accident hit and run, suspicious person, grand larceny.
