Improper Parking, Trespassing And More In Today’s Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang ups, four alarms, credit card fraud, disturbing the peace, fire department assist, improper parking, two motorist assist, two other agency assist, petit larceny, scam, three simple assault, two suspicious activity, suspicious person, theft from a motor vehicle, trespassing, Welfare concerns.

Oxford police investigated 16 wrecks, issued 20 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 1st, No liability insurance, no tag
Warrant served for probation violation

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Five accidents, two alarms, five disturbances, three harassment, five service calls, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, transport, follow up, reckless driving, littering, civil matter, forgery.

Domestic violence, simple assault
Family disturbance

Oxford Fire Department: 
Main switch box had a short and was smoking at the Circle K 1700 Belk Blvd.
Call cancelled for The Uncommon at 514 Jackson Ave. East
Wreck with rollover—no extraction near the 2013 area of University Ave.
Air handling unit #7 heat detector alarm malfunction at the Jackson Avenue Center 1111 West Jackson Ave.
