Former Ole Miss Rebel track star, Sam Kendricks has won the men’s pole vault final at the IAAF World Championship in London. With a mark of 5.95 meters (19.52 ft), Kendricks edged out Piotr Lisek from Poland and France’s Renaud Lavillenie, who both posted a mark of 5.89 meters.
Kendricks is no stranger to international competition as he took home the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio by posting a 5.85 mark (19.19 ft). The Olympic team sent their congratulations to their teammate via Twitter.
