Disturbing The Peace, Suspicious Activity And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Five suspicious activity, two motorist assist, five alarms, two simple assault, two disturbing the peace, false reporting of a crime, shoplifting, three civil matters, property damage, malicious mischief, improper parking, embezzlement, other agency assist, animal complaint, harassing phone calls, residential burglary—non forced, welfare concerns, ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 12 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI 1st
Ran red light, Suspended driver’s license, no Liability insurance
Petit larceny, resisting arrest
3 shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Four alarms, two animal complaints, residential burglary, disturbance, harassment, two malicious mischief, service call, suspicious activity, welfare concern, three transports, follow up, reckless driving.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
A possible seizure—provided first aid until EMS arrived at 461 Olive Branch Way.
A wreck—assisted EMS at 1804 West Jackson Ave.
A wreck—assisted EMS at Links Road.
University Police: Disregard of traffic control device, seven vehicle stops.
