Civil Matter, Suspicious Person And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Six alarms, suspicious person, two animal complaints, lost property, three improper parking, suspicious activity, petit larceny, simple assault, civil matter, code enforcement.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued three traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
2 Disturbing the peace, possession of schedule 1 drug, possession of drug paraphernalia
DUI 1st, possession of drug paraphernalia, one headlight
DUI 1st, Speeding
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Four alarms, animal complaint, disturbance, domestic violence, harassment, three service calls, four suspicious activities, information, four civil matters, shoplifting.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made two arrests
traffic/checkpoint arrest (driving with suspended license), domestic violence, simple assault
shoplifting warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
Medical alert monitor showing no activity for 12 hours—resident had it on the charger at 600 McElroy #152.
Workers activated the fire alarm with a beam locator at Lucky Day Residential College.
Possible heart attack—assist EMS with loading the patient at 605 South 8th Street.
University Police: Vehicle stop, justice court warrant.
