Credit Card Fraud, DUI And More In This Weekend's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Eight alarms, four ambulance assist, three animal complaints, assault, four carless driving, two civil matter, credit card fraud, seven disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, false pretense, improper parking, littering, two lost property, malicious mischief, four motorist assist, noise violations, open door, two other agency assist, five petit larceny, two simple assault, nine suspicious activity, suspicious persons, four suspicious vehicle, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 13 wrecks, issued 54 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Speeding, Possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI 1st
Public drunk
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Seatbelt violation, possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of schedule 4 drug, expired drivers license, no seatbelt
Reckless driving, DUI 1st, possession of schedule 4 drug, possession of paraphernalia
Careless Driving, DUI 1st, Possession of Schedule 4 Drug, Possession of Paraphernalia
DUI 1st, Speeding, No Insurance
Open container, Minor in possession
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, nine alarms, four animal complaints, auto burglary, residential burglary, 12 disturbances, grand larceny, petit larceny, two harassments, 27 service calls, nine suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, four transports, two follow up, unauthorized use of vehicle, traffic complaint, reckless driving, eight civil matters, natural cause of death, traffic detail, two vehicle fines.

Responding to EMS call at 4005 Links Cove.
Smoke detector malfunction room 220 of Delta Psi house.
Cutting sheet rock activated a smoke detector at the Phi Mu house.
Workers accidentally activated a pull station fire alarm at Bldg. 1 of Campus Walk.
Smoke detector malfunction in room 4 of the ATO house.
Smell of gas call—checked house with gas monitor no gas leak found at the Alpha Delta Pi house.
Kitchen smoke detector Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Smell of gas—found nothing with the gas monitor, but resident requested that Center Point Energy come check the area at 1205 Van Dorn St.
Three car wreck—provided 1st aid until EMS arrived at 1912 West Jackson area.
Smoke detector malfunction at Brookdale.
University Police: Vehicle stop, three suspicious person, obstruction of justice, possession of paraphernalia, burglary.
