Art-er Limits Fringe Fest Events Are Out Of This World
The fourth annual Art-er Limits Fringe Fest is just around the corner and its event schedule will take the Oxford art world by storm. The action packed festival will host 50 events over just four days beginning on Thursday August 3. The Art-er Limits Fringe Fest was created four years ago when the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council (YAC) realized that there was a set of artists and talents in the area that did not have their own venue or event to showcase their work.
On Friday and Saturday, the schedule is packed full of children’s activities, art demos, film screenings, musical performances, and even a burlesque show. The featured events on these two days include GUMP: With your Pal, Charlie Davis, Co-Motion Hula Hoop Show, Just Larry – Magician & Blockhead, and 3-Brained Robot.
On Sunday the festival will conclude with the Food Truck Fight at the Old Armory Pavilion. The Food Truck Fight is an event that supports nonprofits in the Oxford area. Participating food trucks this year include Fergndan’s Pizza, Mugg Cakes, YoknapaTaco, Sweetwater Bleu’z Creole & Cajun, Small Time Hot Dogs, and Oxsicles.
With 50 events packed into four days, it can be hard to decide which activities to participate in and where to go. Thankfully, YAC has created a guide and description of all 50 events. The full event schedule, including coupons and information on ticket purchases, can be found here.
