Hugh Freeze has made his first public comments since stepping down as the head coach of the Ole Miss football team. Freeze resigned last Thursday amid reports of calls linked to an escort service. The calls led to an internal investigation by Ole Miss Chancellor Jeff Vitter and AD Ross Bjork during which they uncovered a “concerning pattern” of behavior in Freeze’s personal life.
While speaking with USA Today, Freeze did not directly address the circumstances surrounding his resignation. The former Rebel coach said that his family is standing by him.
“God is good, even in difficult times,’’ Freeze told USA TODAY Sports. “Wonderful wife and family, and that’s my priority.’’
Freeze went on to say that he planned on watching his daughter’s volleyball match and meeting with his pastor.

Ole Miss could not have done better to recover from this situation. My good wishes with our new coach and to our “old” coach, forgiveness!

Such hypocrisy for someone to thump the bible so hard and then do what he did. He ruined the football program, and he deserves no forgiveness. he lied to the entire team with his Tweets and posts, and to the entire Oxford community. He was a horrible excuse of a coach, took the program down hill and left it in shambles which Matt Luke need to go also because he was a part of the whole thing. Until they clean house, including AD Bjork, they will go nowhere and be lucky to have a 5 & 6 season.

Do you deserve forgiveness for your sins? I pray I do. And I believe Coach Freeze does. Nobody is perfect. We are human. Support your Rebels!

Selective faith is here to stay! Thank you to my hero Donald Trump for showing us we can define Christ-like to fit our individual wants and needs. God is good! Who cares if he’s a fake Christian. It’s time to Make America Great Again!
