Discharging Fireworks In City Limits, DUI And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls:911 abuse, abandoned vehicle, seven alarms, careless driving, code enforcement, discharging fireworks in city limits, four disturbing the peace, lost property, malicious mischief, two motor assist, residential burglary—forced, simple assault, two suspicious activity, two suspicious vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 18 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
DUI 1st, No headlights
DUI 1st, speeding
Possession of drug Paraphernalia, No headlights
Possession of drug Paraphernalia, seatbelt violation
Public Drunk, Fake ID
Vehicle Stop, warrant served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, alarm, animal complaint, disturbance, petit larceny, two harassment, two juvenile complaint, three service calls, suspicious activity, three welfare concerns, two transports, traffic complaint, two ID theft, death investigation.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made six arrests

sale of controlled substance warrant
domestic violence / aggravated assault warrant
grand larceny
possession of paraphernalia
Oxford Fire Department:
Fire report from Thursday June 29 will be released on July 5th.
University Police: Public drunk, loud noise violation, motor vehicle accident, possession of drug paraphernalia.
