Joyriding, Petit Larceny And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls:Five alarms, ambulance assist, three animal complaints, three careless driving, disturbance, four disturbing the peace, harassing phone call, improper parking, joyriding, motorist assist, petit larceny, shoplifting, two suspicious activities, suspicious vehicle, theft from a vehicle, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated six wrecks, issued 17 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Domestic violence—Simple Assault
Speeding, DUI 1st
Two suspicious person, False Identifying Information
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, alarm, disturbance, harassment, two service calls, five suspicious activities, information.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made one arrests
trespass and simple assault
Oxford Fire Department:
No audible alarm upon arrival, panel didn’t show an alarm activation at the Athletic Administration Office.
Assist EMS at 109 Red Rose Lane.
Call was cancelled for Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Dryer motor locked up causing the belt to smoke at NMRC —cottage laundry room.
University Police: Suspicious person, two assist with traffic, vehicle stop.
