Photo Gallery: Governor’s Concert At The Mississippi Bicentennial Celebration North
After a few introductory comments by Governor Bryant Saturday night at the Ford Center, everyone in attendance experienced a four-hour truckload of outstanding musical entertainment emceed by Natchez author and Ole Miss alum Greg Iles. Elvis (David Lee, 2015 Ultimate Elvis Tribute winner) was in the house for the opening set followed by Shannon McNally with her Celtic-southern blues, Greenville’s Steve Azar (Mississippi’s Music and Culture Ambassador), Vasti Jackson (McComb, MS) electrified the audience with his tribute to B. B. King and Robert Johnson, Belmont, MS’s Mac McAnally was Mississippi’s “everyman” with his music and stories, and Marty Stuart (Philadelphia, MS) with his Fabulous Superlatives rocked the Ford Center.
