Coyote Blues Hosts Inaugural "Yappy Hour" Benefiting Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society
Coyote Blues Fresh Mexican Grill presents its first ever Yappy Hour event this Friday, June 23 from 4-7 p.m. on their pet-friendly patio. Coyote Blues is partnering with Tito’s Vodka and all proceeds from the Tito’s bar, appetizers and silent auction will benefit the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society. General Manager Amanda Sanders is eager to host the event and give back to the Oxford community.
“We really love being involved in the community,” Sanders said. “The Jackson store is very involved and we wanted to get involved locally here.”
After contacting the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society, Sanders began preparing for the event and coordinating with Tito’s Vodka.
“Tito’s is a huge animal rights activist organization and they have participated in events like this before,” Sanders said. “They have tons of bowls, leashes, toys, and pet stuff that they sent to us for the silent auction.”
Coyote Blues is a pet-friendly company and all animals are allowed on the patio with a leash during the Yappy Hour event as well as any normal business hours.
“We have a covered patio with fans and we are bringing box fans and water bowls outside to help keep people and animals cool,” Sanders said.
Sanders hopes that they will have a great turnout for the event on Friday and feels that this could become a reoccurring event in the future.
“If it is a big hit, Yappy Hour is something we would like to do again, hopefully, a few times a year,” Sanders said.
