Visit Oxford's “Traveling Tapas” Hotel Hop Scheduled For Sunday, July 30th

Visit Oxford has partnered with area hotels for the second Hotel Hop scheduled for Sunday, July 30th from 5pm-9pm. The theme for this Hotel Hop is “Traveling Tapas” which will feature different specialty cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres at each stop.
There will be two groups of 40 traveling to each stop on the double decker buses. One group will start at the Graduate and the other group will begin at the Chancellor’s House, then travel to each of the four hotels including the Courtyard Marriott’s Green Roof Lounge and the President’s Suite at The Inn at Ole Miss. Visit Oxford coordinated with these hotels as a way to create awareness of the unique hotel options Oxford has to offer.
“The summer is typically a slower time of year and after talking to our hoteliers, we thought this was a great way to generate traffic and bring visitors and locals into these hotel properties”, said Mary Allyn Hedges, Director at Visit Oxford. “Our inaugural Hotel Hop that coincided with Pop Up Oxford this past January was a success and sold out well before the event happened. We thought it was a no-brainer to offer an additional Hotel Hop for visitors and residents this summer.”
Each hotel will be offering their own unique specialty cocktail along with wine tastings and heavy appetizers featuring local and regional cuisine at each stop.
“Green Roof Lounge is a neighborhood restaurant and bar located on the rooftop of Courtyard by Marriott, that focuses on simple, comforting, seasonal cuisine. Food and drinks that inspire us from our local surroundings,” said Nicole List, Director of Sales for the Courtyard Marriott.
Additionally, Lauran Ellis, Director of Sales at Graduate Oxford added “This a great event that each individual is able to see what our Oxford hotels have to offer. From the restaurants, specialty drinks, to the unique hotel rooms.”
