TD-Ameritrade Park in Omaha, home of the CWS

This weekend 16 teams take to the baseball diamond looking to punch their ticket to the pinnacle of College Baseball; Omaha, Nebraska. Home of the College World Series inside of TD Ameritrade Park.

Last Thursday as the NCAA Tournament began 64 teams were vying for a shot to be one of the last eight standing to possibly play for a national title. The Southeastern Conference got a total of eight teams into the field and now just two wins away from the CWS, the conference has six teams competing for a spot in Omaha this weekend.
The Auburn Tigers got knocked out of the Tallahassee Regional by the host team Florida State. Arkansas got defeated at home by the Missouri State Bears.
With one SEC vs. SEC matchup, not all six teams from the conference can make it to Omaha when things are all said and done, at most five teams could represent the conference. Western division foes Mississippi State and LSU will meet in Baton Rouge for a Super Regional with one team going on and the other going home.
At the end of the regular season, the Bulldogs and Tigers met in a three-game series on the line that weekend was the Western Division crown. LSU went into Dudy Nobel Field and swept Mississippi State for a share of the out right SEC regular season championship with Florida.
Florida will continue to stay at home for its Super Regional as they host Wake Forest. In an ACC versus SEC clash on the diamond. That’s not the only ACC vs SEC matchup this weekend, in the Bluegrass state of Kentucky has the Kentucky Wildcats facing the Louisville Cardinals.
Vanderbilt travels west to take on Oregon State this weekend. Oregon State is the number one overall seed in the tournament. The Commodores have an uphill battle if they hope to return to the College World Series.
Texas A&M welcomes Davidson to Blue Bell Park for this Super Regional matchup. Davidson won the Chapel Hill Regional by knocking off the No. 2 national seed North Carolina. The Aggies went through the Houston Regional and defeated Houston for a Super Regional birth.
The other three Super Regional sites are Florida State as they host Sam Houston State. Cal State Fullerton will face Long Beach Sate and Missouri State will take the diamond against the Horned Frogs of TCU.
