Summer Sunset Series Continues This Sunday In The Grove
The Ole Miss Summer Sunset Series concerts will continue this weekend in Oxford. The series features a different local musician or band playing in the Grove each Sunday in June. This weekend’s featured act is a synth-pop duo of Ole Miss alumni called And the Echo.
This year’s series boasts a diverse range of music genres, including a Latin and Jazz fusion act, a synth-pop act, and numerous genres between. The series began last weekend with some unique and interesting music from La Fusión, a Latin and Jazz fusion band. And The Echo takes the stage tonight. The third band of the series is Rocket 88. Their Americana, rock and juke-joint gospel influences provide a distinctly Mississippian sound and promise for a great show. Black Water Trio will return to the Grove stage to close out the Summer Sunset Series with their mellow acoustic sound.
Whether you want to jam to some classic Southern rock tunes, experience a new and interesting genre of music, dance to the upbeat sounds of synth-pop, or relax and listen to soothing acoustic music, this Summer Sunset Series has got something for you!
All concerts are free to the public and take place at 5:00 p.m. at the Grove stage.
The Remaining Series Schedule is as follows:
Sunday, June 11 – 5:00 pm – And the Echo
Sunday, June 18 – 5:00 p.m. – Rocket 88
Sunday, June 25 – 5:00 p.m. – Black Water Trio
