Bailey And Huelse Win Oxford Board Of Aldermen Elections

Tuesday’s election sought to fill two Alderman seats for the city of Oxford in Wards 2 and 6. In Ward 6, incumbent Jason Bailey (R) defeated Wayne Andrews (D). Bailey received 299 votes, while Andrews received 183. 
Ward 2’s vacant seat was left by Robyn Tannehill, who will become Mayor after winning a non-contested election. Mark Huelse (R) will represent the Ward as Alderman after he defeated Paula Shanks with a vote total of 249-103. 
Tannehill’s inauguration is set for June 29th at 10:00 a.m.

Ward 2 – Mark Huelse
Ward 3 – Janice Antonow
Ward 4 – Ulysses Howell
Ward 5 – Preston Taylor 
Ward 6 – Jason Bailey 
Alderman At-Large – John Morgan
