Domestic Violence, Auto Burglary And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three animal complaints, two civil matters, seven alarms, two disturbances, two 911 hang-ups, ambulance assist, two suspicious activities, welfare concern, missing property recovered, reported careless driver, domestic violence, scam, motorist assist, fire dept. assist, harassing phone calls.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 29 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Speeding, Suspended Driver’s License & DUI
Warrant Served
Domestic Violence – Simple Assault
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Five accidents, three alarms, two animal complaints, auto burglary, three disturbances, two grand larceny, juvenile complaints, eight service calls, suspicious activity, welfare concern, three transports, trespassing, follow up, unauthorized use of vehicle, two traffic complaints, fraud, illegal dumping.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
Burned food activated a smoke detector at 711 South 11th St.
Workers broke a sprinkler pipe activating the water flow alarm at Southern Storage Service 13 Industrial Park.
Someone pulled the basement stairwell fire alarm at The Chancellor’s House Hotel.
University Police: Three vehicle stops, disturbance, motor vehicle accident.
