Schedule 4 Narcotics, DUIs And More In Today's Crime Report

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: 27 alarms, 20 suspicious activities, three animal complaints, three 911 hang ups, three reported careless drivers, three noise violations, two motorist assists, four welfare concerns, eight disturbances, four civil matters, two harassing phone calls, two simple assaults, two ambulance assists, two complaints of lost property, petit larceny, two illegally parked cars, malicious mischief, grand larceny, auto burglary—Jefferson Ave, Fire dept. assist.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 86 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
3 Public Intoxications
Open Container (Post Arrest)
No Seatbelt & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Careless Driving, No Insurance, Open Container & DUI
Simple Assault
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Post Arrest)
Failure to Comply
2 DUIs
Speeding & MIP
No Taillights & Suspended Driver’s License
Possession of Schedule 4 Narcotics & Public Intoxication
Selling Alcohol to a Minor (Post Arrest)
Careless Driving & DUI
No Seatbelt, No Insurance, No Tag, Possession of Schedule 1 Narcotics & Warrant Served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Four accidents, two simple assaults, 12 alarms, eight animal complaints, 11 disturbances, domestic violence, grand larceny, petit larceny, two malicious mischief, 29 service calls, seven suspicious activities, vandalism, five welfare concerns, two scams, transport, three information, two follow-ups, two traffic complaints, two reckless driving, road obstruction, civil matter, natural cause of death.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made nine arrests

trespassing, simple assault, stalking warrant
burglary warrant
aggravated stalking
traffic checkpoint arrest
Oxford Fire Department: 
Cooking activated the living room smoke detector at Canterbury Crest apt. 124.
Smoke from the outside grill came into the house activating a smoke detector at 3809 Majestic Oaks Dr.
Call for medical assist—no assistance need at the Walmart parking lot.
Cooking activated a smoke detector at 3710 Lyles Dr.

University Police: Assist with traffic at Manning Way, service call to Tad Smith Coliseum ambulance needed.
