Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Three alarms, six disturbances, two fire dept. assists, four suspicious activities, two motorist assists, reported careless driver, petit larceny, animal complaint, 911 hang up, code violation, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
malicious mischief
expired tag, careless driving, child restraint, child endangerment and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, two animal complaints, five disturbances, petit larceny, harassment, two juvenile complaints, seven service calls, two suspicious activities, welfare concern, civil matters, three information, follow up.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made three arrests
simple assault
writ to take custody
sale of controlled substance warrant
Oxford Fire Department: 
Smell of gas nothing found at Check Advance.
Assistance with a carbon monoxide detector at 535 North Lamar.
Smell of gas with three to six pilot lights out on the stove at the Oxford Grill House.
Extinguished a car fire in the Walmart Parking Lot.
Downstairs smoke detector malfunction at the SAE house.

University Police: two motor vehicle accidents, disturbance, burglary, four vehicle stops.
