Hit And Run, Harassing Phone Calls And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls:Two alarms, malicious mischief, two improper parking, civil matter, six disturbing the peace, simple assault, scam, harassing phone call, suspicious activity, two welfare concerns, two suspicious persons, two suspicious vehicle, two reported DUI.
Oxford police investigated five wrecks, issued 20 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Schedule II Drug
Careless Driving and DUI
Ran Red Light, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Schedule IV Drug
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Drunk
2 Possession of a Fake ID and Public Drunk
Ran Red Light, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, alarm, two animal complaints, two disturbances, petit larceny, harassment, seven service calls, three suspicious activities, scam, two transports, supplemental accident report, traffic stop / arrest.

possession of paraphernalia, failure to yield to blue lights, ran stop sign
sale of controlled substance warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
Oxford Fire Department reports for dates May 2 – 7 will be released Monday, May 8.
University Police: EMS for intoxicated person, possession of drug paraphernalia, audible alarm, motor vehicle accident, disturbance, three assist with traffic, accident hit and run, six vehicle stop, accident property damage.
