Oxford Police Arrest Two On Burglary Charges
On April 19, 2017, officers with the Oxford Police Department responded to Old Taylor for a report of a burglary.
Upon arrival, officers were advised by the victim that a TV was stolen and that officers currently had the suspects stopped on an unrelated incident. The officers on scene communicated with the officers on the stop and confirmed that the suspects from the stop, identified as Marrico Johnson, 28, and Jessie Redmond, 27, both of Oxford, had the TV in question in their vehicle.
Both Johnson and Redmond were transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where Johnson was booked on DUI 1st and burglary, and Redmond was booked for burglary.
Both Johnson’s and Redmond’s bonds were set at $10,000.
