Top 5 Easter Treats To Add To Your Basket
Easter is a time for family, reflection, celebration and candy. More so than many other holidays, there are specific items that are associated with the day, and it’s simple science..some are better than others. Here is a list of the top five Easter treats ahead of Sunday.
Chocolate Bunny
The obvious number one choice on this list. Whether they’re hollow or solid, you really can’t go wrong with a giant bunny made of the best thing on earth, chocolate. Not having a chocolate bunny around Easter is like not having birthday cake on your birthday, the two go hand-in-hand. Therefore, the bunny receives the top spot.
Reese’s Eggs
Regular Reese’s are amazing. The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is a match made in heaven (no pun intended). There’s something about making one in the shape of an egg that elevates it to a whole new level. I don’t know if they change up the ratio for the Easter special batches, but whatever they’re doing at the factory is working, so keep it up Reese’s people.
Cadbury Eggs
Even though I personally am not a fan of these things, I know I’m in the vast minority, so they make the list anyway. People lose their minds over the filling of these individually wrapped chocolates. The white and yellow fondant filling makes up the center, which is sealed in by a milk chocolate egg “shell.” Usually placed by the register at any grocery store, it’s easy to see why those who enjoy them end up eating a year’s worth of them within the Easter season.
Robin Eggs
It’s a whopper shaped like an egg. What’s not to like? The crunchy candy is a nice change of pace from the other options on the market. They come in four colors, all as springy and “Eastery” as the next. While an Easter egg hunt is fun, sitting down and eating a full bag of these mini-chocolate eggs is far more satisfying.
Controversy
Some people love them; others hate them. The sheer mention of them in any Easter treat debate will spark a heated argument. Peeps. The marshmallow and sugar creation has divided the population for ages with no end in sight. They’ve been dipped in chocolate, new flavors have been introduced, but both sides will stick to their guns. It’s not Easter without peeps, and peeps are nothing without Easter. Where you stand on Peeps is part of who you are, but regardless of the argument they simply had to make the list.
Do you agree with our list? There are many more candy and chocolate option out there so tell us your favorites!
