Headliner For Bicentennial Celebration Concert To Be Announced At Rowan Oak Thursday
Rowan Oak will play host to a major announcement for the Governor’s Concert at the Mississippi Bicentennial Celebration North at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 13.
The headliner for the highly anticipated concert will be announced by a who’s who of Mississippi representatives. Governor Phil Bryant will be in attendance along with Ole Miss Chancellor Jeff Vitter, Oxford Mayor Pat Patterson, Visit Mississippi Director Craig Ray and Mississippi Music & Culture Ambassador Steve Azar.
On-site parking will be limited to media. Other guests and attendees are invited to ride the Double Decker bus from the parking lot at the northwest corner of the Old Taylor Road and Hwy. 278 intersection. Bus service will begin at 1:15 p.m. and run every five minutes until 2 p.m. Return service will begin at the end of the press conference.
The concert will take place in Oxford later this year on June 24.
