Grand Larceny, Sexual Battery And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Five alarms, motorist assist, four ambulance assists, two suspicious activities, two animal complaints, five suspicious persons, other agency assist, suspicious vehicle, simple assault, joyriding, welfare concern, malicious mischief, petit larceny, two disturbing the peace, reported DUI.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting
2 Warrants Served
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI
No Tag, No Proof of Liability Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Simple Assault
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, alarm, two animal complaints, disturbance, petit larceny, five service calls, two suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, transport, two trespassing, civil matter, four information / follow-up, two reckless driver, identity theft, road obstruction.

Oxford Fire Department:
Shadow Creek Drive buildings had a power outage which activated the fire alarm system.
Third floor lounge smoke detector malfunction at The Village Walk Apts.
University Police: six vehicle stops, grand larceny (more than 1,000 dollars) of campus, suspicious person, assist with traffic, sexual battery, fake ID, possession of Drug Paraphernalia, minor in possession of beer, credit card fraud.
