Freeze, Mullen Participate in Annual C-Spire Pro AM In Biloxi
The egg bowl rivalry has once again made its way to the golf course for the third straight year as Hugh Freeze and Dan Mullen participate in the C-Spire MGR Classic Pro-AM at Fallen Oak in Biloxi.
As the Ole Miss baseball team gets set to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the diamond this evening, the two head football coaches from these programs took part in the annual golf tournament.
Coach Hugh Freeze was paired with 1996 Open Championship winner Tom Lehman. Rounding out the group was former Ole Miss basketball star Sean Touhy, John Wade and Hu Meena. They were to hit the course at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday.
Coach Dan Mullen was in the same grouping and was paired with South African golfer David Frost. The pair took to the tee box at 8:30 a.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit local charities of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The MGR Classic has also partnered with Birdies for Charity to donate to participating charities for each birdie made during the tournament.
The Pro-Am event precedes the MGR Classic, which will begin on Friday and run through Sunday.
