Two Shot In Oxford, One In Critical Condition

At approximately 7 p.m., the Oxford Police Department received a call from the parking lot at 1350 North Lamar Blvd for a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and found Joshua Flemmons, 25, of Oxford, and Patrick Spearman, 38, of Abbeville, with gunshot wounds. Both victims were flown to Regional One Health in Memphis. Flemmons is listed as non-critical, while Spearman is listed as critical.
Ricky Mabry, 30, of Oxford, was identified as the shooter and subsequently turned himself in to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department around 10:15 p.m. OPD officers picked Mabry up and transported him to the Lafayette County Detention Center. No charges have been formally filed at this time but more information will come later today.
