National Weather Service Issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until 8 P.M. For Lafayette County

Storm clouds hang over Jackson Avenue
With storm clouds rolling in and rain beginning to fall, the national weather service has issued a lengthy severe thunderstorm watch for Lafayette County and its surrounding areas. The watch will be in effect until 8 p.m.

The strong aspects of the storms are expected to be intermittent throughout the afternoon leading into tonight.
