Cyberstalking, Harassing Phone Calls And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: nine alarms, three petit larceny, five improper parking, three malicious mischief, seven suspicious activity, motorist assist, civil matter, 32 disturbing the peace, scam, five reported DUI, welfare concern, ambulance assist, domestic disturbance, two suspicious vehicle, harassing phone call, three reports lost property, two animal complaints, two simple assaults, 911 hang-up, two code violations (garbage), false pretense, fire department assist, embezzlement.
Oxford police investigated 17 wrecks, issued 80 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

Speeding and Possession of a Fake ID
Seatbelt Violation, Suspended Driving License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

2 Warrant Served

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: four accidents, three alarms, four animal complaints, 14 disturbances, juvenile complaints, two malicious mischief, 18 service calls, seven suspicious activities, seven welfare concerns, two trespassing, three civil matters, death investigation, six traffic complaints, credit card fraud, follow up.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made seven arrests

Shower steam activated a detector at 1100 Augusta Dr. #603.
Fire alarm pull station prank the Hub building 2.
Blower motor on an A / C unit burned up at 11 Sunrise St.
Light ballast smoking at Pizza Hut University Ave.
Smoke detector malfunction at the Chancellor House Hotel room #216A.
University Police: 14 vehicle stops, drugs, disorderly conduct, trespass, information, minor in possession, public drunk, intoxicated person, suspended license, suspicious vehicle.
