Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: 12 Improper Parking, 11 Suspicious Activity, Motorist Assist, 10 Alarms, four Suspicious Vehicle, 11 Disturbing the Peace, 4 reported dui, trespassing, two ambulance assist, welfare concern, suspicious person, fire department assist, malicious mischief, two domestic disturbances, two 911 hang-ups, two civil matter, two vehicle burglary, three complaint, scam.

Oxford police investigated 20 wrecks, issued 59 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:

False Identifying Information and Public Drunk
Seatbelt Violation and DUI
False Identifying Information and Warrant Served
False Identifying Information, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest and Warrant Served
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Warrant Served
Seatbelt Violation, No Proof of Liability Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
DUI (wreck)
Ran Red Light, Suspended Driving License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
No Headlights, Child Endangerment and DUI
Public Drunk
Littering and Public Drunk
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents:  accidents alarms animal complaints, residential burglary, 15 disturbances, domestic violence, petit larceny, harassment, juvenile complaint, five service calls, suspicious activities, vandalism, welfare concern, four transports, three civil matters, three traffic complaints, seven traffic checkpoints, credit card fraud, follow up, fraud, vehicle fire..

Lafayette Sheriff’s department made three arrest
disorderly conduct
no driver’s license, resisting arrest, possession of paraphernalia
writ to take custody

Oxford Fire Department: 
Someone accidentally hit the fire alarm at Anderson Hall.
Public assist Goodwill Store
Steam from hot water in kitchen activated a smoke detector at Chancellor House Hotel.
Burned popcorn activated the smoke detector at Baptist Memorial Hospital room 241.
Someone smoking under the smoke detector at Village Walk Apts.
Water leaking into her smoke detectors at Molly Barr Ridge Apt. 302.
Smoke in house – FD found a light haze in the house, possibly the heating unit going bad at 9 Highland Place.
Received a call of a structure fire – no apartment number given –  call unfounded at Riverside Apts.
CO2 detector malfunction at 111 Promenade Pkwy.
Air compressor malfunction caused the dry sprinkler system activation at East Side Rebel Club.
Second floor west hall smoke detector malfunction at the Kappa Sigma House.

University Police: service calls, vandalism, five suspicious vehicle, harassment, 15 vehicle stops, three public drunks, drugs.
