Oxford police responded to the following calls: two lost property, uttering forgery, harassing phone call, two suspicious person, suspicious vehicle two malicious mischief, four suspicious activity, 911 hang-up, petit larceny, reported DUI, two fire department assist, alarm, two improper parking, motorist assist, animal complaint, trespassing two disturbing the peace, ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated 18 wrecks, issued 51 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
Seatbelt Violation, Suspended Driving License and Warrant Served
10 Public Drunk
Improper Equipment, No Proof of Liability Insurance and No Driving License
Disorderly Conduct – Failure to Comply and Public Drunk
Speeding and Minor in Possession of Alcohol (post arrest citation)
Public Drunk, Disturbing the Peace and Simple Assault
3 DUI
Careless Driving and DUI
Speeding, Suspended Driving License and DUI
Careless Driving, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
2 Domestic Violence – Simple Assault
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents:   two accidents, aggravated assault, five alarms, two animal complaints, three residential burglary (College Hill area) (Highway 334 area) (W. Springhill area), six disturbances, two petit larceny, two harassment, juvenile complaints, malicious mischief, 16 service calls, 13 suspicious activity / persons, 12 welfare concerns, civil matter, scam, trespassing, five traffic complaint, two traffic stop arrest, two natural cause deaths, three follow-up, unauthorized use of vehicle.
