10 Reasons Spring Semester Is Ole Miss’ Best Semester
Weather
“Spring is coming,” which obviously means warmer weather! The blooming of flowers, walking around Lamar Park or a patio brunch on The Square make for the best Saturdays in Oxford.
Baseball
BAEsball boys, beer showers and taco truck! Need I say more?
Crawfish
Everybody loves that one creature who lives under the sea, and no, it’s not Sebastian from The Little Mermaid. With those messy fingers and burning mouths, crawfish becomes breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Double Decker
Big red buses, good music, yummy festival food and lots of laughs equals the essentials to a ballin’ Double Decker weekend. It’s one of the few times you’re allowed to pretend you’re in England!
Sardis Lake
It may not be the beaches of Florida, but nothing beats spring nights with a bonfire and friends at Sardis Lake…and probably some crawfish too!
The T-shirts and Norts Comeback
Best dressed is coming back!! Over-sized t-shirts and Nike shorts are back in the game and every girl is slaying it. We’re bringing sexy back… Yeah!! But let’s not forget the boys and their chubbies… Sky’s out, thighs out!!
Spring Break
The one week out of the semester where some people go to the beach and live off hot dogs and pizza pockets while being crammed into a tiny room with eight of their best friends!
Mardi Gras
The only reason to ever go to New Orleans. I mean, who doesn’t love being smacked in the face with beads while yelling “throw me something mister” after their second hurricane?
Laying Out By The Pool
What’s better than coming home from class and soaking up the sun by the pool with all your friends? Even if you just ate that bag of chips for lunch…
Summertime Is Almost Here
Last, but not least, the spring always means a little closer to “summa time.” It’s like spring semester without the classes: pool days, crawfish, over-sized t-shirts and basically all the above. No wonder Troy Bolton was so excited!
