Shoplifting, Grand Larceny And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Four alarms, three disturbances, four suspicious activities, noise complaint, two petit larcenies, two welfare concerns, two scams, grand larceny- Mclarty Road, two shopliftings, animal complaint, forgery, illegally parked car, house burglary- N.11 St, motorist assist, two civil matters, reported DUI driver ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated 9 wrecks, issued 28 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
No Seatbelt, No Insurance & Suspended Driver’s License
Public Intoxication
DUI (Wreck)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Ran a Red Light, Suspended Driver’s License & No Insurance
Warrant Served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, three alarms, two animal complaints, residential burglary (CR 521), three petit larceny, harassment, four service calls, two welfare concerns, trespassing, credit card fraud.

Oxford Fire Department
A call, wreck with entrapment – no extrication, patient out upon arrival on Hwy. 6 West.
Workers accidentally activated the general fire alarm at Coulter Hall.
Called, advised his kids had headaches and wanted FD to check for carbon monoxide – check house and outside area with gas meter and nothing was found at 1504 Hwy. 30 East.
University Police: six vehicle stops, possession of alcohol by a minor, suspicious person, possession of drugs.
