'Your Special Day' Bridal Expo Offers Brides a Unique Experience
Saturday, Feb. 11, a group of Oxford wedding vendors will come together to host the inaugural “Your Special Day” bridal expo. This event will offer brides an opportunity to see first hand what options are available in Oxford for their wedding day.
“Our goal is to give the brides a unique experience by showing them what their actual wedding reception could be like,” said Carole Glidewell, Magnolia Rental event manager. “We wanted to take out the intimidation of booths and sales pitches and let them see what we can deliver.”
Taylor Grocery Catering, The Powerhouse, Twisted Twig, Sweet T’s Bakery and Oxford Photo Bomb will all be represented at the bridal expo. Taylor Grocery Catering will provide a wide assortment of food for the bridal party to taste, while Sweet T’s Bakery will have bride and groom cake samples. The Powerhouse location will be showcased as an event venue that Magnolia Rental will transform with tables, chairs, lighting, linens, dinnerware and serving ware. Additionally, Twisted Twig will have an assortment of floral samplings, and Oxford Photo Bomb will set up two of their exclusive photo booths for attendees to try out.
This event will be different from other bridal expos because it will offer brides the opportunity to see, touch, smell and taste what their special day could be like while also celebrating and sharing ideas with other brides and being advised by local wedding vendors.
“Each bride will have the opportunity to chat at length with each vendor while getting to actually see what their wedding day can look like,” Glidewell said. “At a traditional bridal expo, they would only see pictures and get to see or taste a few samples. Our main goal with this event is to celebrate brides, eat wonderful food, and share ideas and concepts in a less intimidating environment.”
“Your Special Day” will be held at The Powerhouse from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 11. The first 100 brides to register online at Taylor Grocery Weddings before midnight, Wednesday, Feb. 8, will receive two complimentary tickets for their groom, bridal party or friends. Tickets will be sold at the door for $15.
