Regional Artists’ Works To Be Featured In Northwest February Exhibition
Northwest Mississippi Community College’s February art exhibition, “Tangled in Art,” which is sponsored by Sycamore Arts, will feature the works of regional artists.
“Sycamore Arts is very excited to present ‘Tangled in Art’ this February. It’s always such a pure pleasure to work with Lawayne House and the Art Department to help encourage the arts in Tate County. This year will offer several regional artists new to our exhibit and will feature sculpting, woodwork, pottery and weaving as 3D art. Mixed media, oil, acrylic and watercolor pieces will decorate the walls of the gallery, and a separate showing of local high school talent will also be included,” said Karen Brown, Sycamore Arts board member.
The opening reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m., and the exhibition will run from Feb. 1 – 24 in the Northwest Art Gallery on the Senatobia campus.
Gallery hours are 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. – noon, Fridays. Admission to the gallery is free.
