Fire Department Responds To "Burned Popcorn" Call And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: two improper parking, four alarms, four suspicious activity, two 911 hang-up, credit card fraud, code violation, ambulance assist, three disturbing the peace, suspicious vehicle, scam, harassing phone call.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 26 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
2 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of a Fake ID and Public Drunk
Public Drunk
Speeding, Possession of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: five alarms, animal complaint, disturbance, petit larceny, eight service calls, two suspicious activities, welfare concern, transport, natural cause death.

University Police
Officers made five vehicle stops.
