$1 Night at The Pavilion as the Rebels Take on Bradley at 8 p.m.
The Rebels homestand continues tonight against Bradley after defeating Murray State last Thursday. Tonight’s game is “Dollar Night” at the Pavilion. Tickets, hot dogs and drinks are $1, and Santa Claus will be in the building, so don’t miss it!
In the win over Murray State, the Rebels shot 35 percent from the floor and still came away with a win. A more efficient night may be in the Rebels best interest to avoid an upset. Deandre Burnett gave the Rebels 24 points to help overcome the poor shooting. Sebastian Siaz and Terrence Davis turned in double-double performances. Davis’ implementation to the starting lineup has given the Rebels a spark on both sides of the floor. A win is a win, but Andy Kennedy noticed some areas that the Rebels need to improve before the game Bradley, layups in particular.
“For like thirty-two minutes, I thought we played pretty well. We defended the second half…We had good ball movement. We only had three turnovers with under 8 to play but ended with 11. We didn’t leave with a good taste in our mouth,” Kennedy said. “I have to do a better job making sure that does not happen. We just shortchanged cuts. We didn’t finish the game the way I liked. We missed 8 layups, for an SEC scholarship player, layups I could make, we got to do better. It was hard to tell (whether a lack of concentration), we’re going to keep giving those guys the ball, gotta have to. We need to make them.”
The Bradley Braves come in at 5-6 and are coached by Brian Wardle. Scoring just 71 PPG the Braves are tied for 256th in the country. Darrel Brown leads the Braves in scoring with 12.2 PPG and assists with 2.2.
Tip-off at the Pavilion is at 8 p.m., and the game will be televised on the SEC Network. The Ole Miss Radio Network will have the call as well. The game can also be seen on WatchESPN.com and heard on OleMissSports.com.
