Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: Five reported DUI’s, nine suspicious activities, 14 alarms, 14 reports of lost property, one harassment, two improper parking, burglary of residence on MLK Drive, two ambulance assists, two 9 1 1 hang-ups, two suspicious vehicles, two harassing phone calls, one animal complaint, six suspicious persons, one civil matter, three fire department assists, three disturbing the peace, vehicle burglary on Frontage Road, attempted vehicle burglary on Frontage Road, vehicle burglary on South Lamar, two welfare concerns, three motorist assist, one shoplifting, two domestic (disturbance), one trespassing, two recovered property, one petit larceny, one report of a public drunk, burglary of a resident on Murray street.


Oxford police investigated
17 vehicle collisions, issued 35 traffic citations and made 10 arrests on the following charges:

Expired Tag, No Driving License and Warrant Served
Domestic Violence – Simple Assault
Warrant Served
Expired Tag, No Driving License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
DUI
Shoplifting
Disorderly Conduct – Fail to Comply With Officer

Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Five accidents, 16 alarms, two animal complaints, one residential burglary (CR 149), five disturbances, two grand larceny, petit larceny, harassment, four juvenile complaints, ten service calls, five suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three transports, five civil matters, disturbing the peace, four information, three reckless driving, identity theft, four road obstruction, one follow-up.

Lafayette Sheriff’s department made 2 arrests on the following charges:

Oxford Fire department responded to the following incidents: 
Friday November 18
A fully involved dumpster fire in the city parking lot at 234 North Lamar.
General fire alarm malfunction at 1201 Medical Park Drive.
General fire alarm malfunction at 428 North 14th.

Saturday November 19
General fire alarm malfunction at 1201 Medical Park Drive again.

Sunday November 20
Someone turned a heater on for the 1st time activated a smoke detector at 100 Azalea Drive.
Cooking activated a smoke detector at 137 Leighton Road.
