Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
An elevator motor overheated and activated mechanical room smoke detector at the Johnson Commons at 2:46p.m.
A resident pulled a fire alarm at the State Veterans Home at 3:17p.m.
Somebody pulled a fire alarm at Shoe Carnival at 5:16p.m.
An 18 wheeler truck on fire in the Goodwill parking lot at 5:55p.m.
At 6:48p.m. a call canceled for Captain D’s.
Pilot light went out on stove causing a smell of gas at the Phi Mu house at 12:26a.m.
University police responded to the following incidents: Five vehicle stops, disturbance call of loud music or noise on fraternity row, petit larceny at the Ridges, service call and ambulance needed at the Blackburn McMurray Comp.
