While Ole Miss defeated Georgia Southern 37-27, quarterback Chad Kelly left the game in the third quarter with what has been determined to be a knee injury.
There had been speculation that it was a concussion that sidelined Kelly, but Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said after the game the that Kelly will undergo an MRI on his knee on Sunday.
Kelly is the leading passer in the SEC. He had 249 total yards and 3 touchdowns against Georgia Southern. Jason Pellerin, Rebels’ redshirt freshman backup quarterback finished the game and helped the Rebels hang onto the win.
Ole Miss takes on Texas A & M in College Station next Saturday.
