After a rough week in Fayetteville, Ole Miss will head to Baton Rouge this weekend for what some Rebel fans would consider to be their biggest rivalry game: the Magnolia Bowl. Much like last week, this game will feature two highly contrasting styles of play.

LSU looks to keep up their recent momentum since interim head coach Ed Orgeron took over, while Ole Miss looks to find their groove against an improved Tiger offense. Here are three things that the Rebels must do in order to earn bragging rights over LSU.

1. Start Fast
In all of college football, there might not be a more intimidating setting than a night game at Death Valley. The noise can, and will, cause enormous problems for any opposing offense. The way to combat this is to get the fans out of the game from the very beginning. The Rebels need to get off to a fast start in this game in order to control the crowd noise.

2. Contain the Rushing Attack
Although the Tigers have had an improved passing offense in recent games, this team still relies on their running game to get the job done. Ole Miss needs to keep LSU’s rushing attack in check in order to win this game

3. Play Smart
The last time that Ole Miss was in Baton Rouge, a couple of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties arguably cost them the game. In a heated rivalry game such as this, it would be easy for a player to lose their cool. The Rebels need to play smart and stay away from unsportsmanlike penalties against their bitter rival.
