SEC Power Rankings: Reveille Outlasts Smokey As Tide Rolls Over Hogs

Published

on

SEC SliderTennessee fought through two over times only to come up a TD short against a
determined Aggie team. A&M’s 45-38 victory gave Reveille his first 6-0 record since 1994.

Following this afternoon marathon, Alabama rolled into Fayetteville 5-0 and left 6-0 after a 19 point victory margin. With the Florida-LSU game being suspended, the Gators could find themselves back in the SEC East hunt should the Vols lose again this weekend to Bama.

In other games, Mississippi State was crushed in Starkville to the hands of Auburn. The Tigers destroyed State 38-14 making Bully the odds on favorite to win the cellar position in the SEC West this year. Kentucky defeated Vandy 20-13 while Georgia was providing South Carolina its fourth conference loss 28-14. Ole Miss and Missouri were off.

The SEC Power Rankings changed very little after Saturday’s outcomes…..

This week, there are two stellar matchups as Alabama visits Knoxville while our Rebels will be headed to Fayetteville. Vanderbilt is at Georgia; Missouri is at Florida; USM is at LSU in a nonconference game along with MSU at BYU in another non-league contest. The balance of the league is enjoying an open date.
