Crime Report: Grand Larceny at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium

Crime ReportOxford police responded to the following calls: 16 improper parking, eight suspicious persons, three simple assaults, 24 disturbing the peace, five Fire Department assists, three motorist assists, two 911 hangups, two vehicles burglaries on Frontage Road, vehicle burglary on Molly Barr Road, three reported DUI’s, three animal complaints, four petit larceny, indecent exposure, four welfare concerns, eight suspicious activities, 17 alarms, three domestic disturbances, two public drunks, two civil matters, harassing phone call, open door, two ambulance assists, three malicious mischiefs, two trespassing, two recovered property, report of lost property

Oxford police investigated 18 wrecks, issued 129 traffic citations, and made 41 arrests on the following charges:

(4) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
(2) Careless Driving and DUI
Public Drunk and Possession of a Fake ID
1 Minor in Possession of Alcohol (post arrest citations)

Driving While License Suspended and Warrant Served
Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of a Fake ID
Wrong Way on a One Way Street, No Drivers License, No Proof of Liability Insurance and DUI
Careless Driving, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and DUI
Disturbing the Peace (post arrest citation)
Careless Driving, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Open Container
Failure to Yield and DUI
Wrong Way on a One Way Street and DUI
Careless Driving, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI
Speeding and DUI

Lafayette Sheriff’s department responded to the following incidents: Five accident, seven alarms, three animal complaints, 11 auto burglaries, resident burglary on Highway 6, 11 disturbances, harassment, two juvenile complaints, two malicious mischief, 25 service calls, 11 suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three transports, nine civil matters, four traffic complaints, car fire, three follow up, natural cause death

Lafayette Sheriff’s department made eight arrests on the following charges:

Domestic violence, simple assault
Disorderly conduct
Family disturbance
Burglary warrant

University Police responded to the following incidents: 
Friday, September 9
Five vehicle stops, possession of alcohol at Stockard Hall, EMS requested due to intoxicated person at Weir Hall, suspicious vehicle at Tad Smith Coliseum
Saturday, September 10
Three vehicle stops, three suspicious vehicles at Kinard Hall and Stockard Hall, Moving Violation – Driving under the influence first offense – driving wrong way on one way street – possession of paraphernalia and possession of alcoholic beverage under 21, motor vehicle accident on University Avenue, Grand Larceny at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
Sunday, September 11
Vehicle stop, suspicious vehicle at Women’s Terrace – upper lot, motor vehicle accident at Chi Omega Sorority, suspicious person at Faser Hall, EMS requested due to intoxicated person at Residence Hall 2, ambulance needed at Residence Hall 3, intoxicated person at The Ridges, trespass at Kincannon Hall parking lot
