Eating Oxford: Oxford Gets 5 New Mexican Restaurants
Oxford is home to more than 100 dining establishments, with around 10 percent of them serving up one of our favorite fares—Mexican.
Whether you’re an Ole Miss student missing the flavors of home or a native Oxonian with a hankering for something south of the border, Oxford’s love affair with Mexican food has become apparent in the growing number of eateries that cater to our taco, burrito and nacho whims.
Oxford’s new and upcoming Mexican restaurants include:
• La Perla Tapatia, now open at 1912 University Avenue
• El Agave Mexican Grill, opening soon at 2305 W. Jackson Avenue
• Chipotle, opening soon at 2151 W. Jackson Avenue
• Coyote Blues, opening soon in the new Galleria II shopping center on Jackson Avenue
• El Charro, opening later this year at the new Oxford Commons near Malco
